Privacy Policy
R&D Industries, L.L.C. ("we") makes the Open Season Insurance Analyzer. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, our checkout and the analyzer, and what we do with it. The short version: we never receive your health information.
The analyzer
The analyzer and its EOB Importer are files that run in your web browser on your own computer. The claims and EOB statements you load, and the results they calculate, are processed only on that computer. Each file contains a security policy that blocks it from connecting to the internet, so it cannot send your information to us or to anyone else. The PDF reader and text-recognition engine the EOB Importer uses are built into the file.
As claims load, patient names are replaced with labels such as "Person 1", and columns such as member ID, account number and address are discarded. Claims are erased when you close the browser tab.
If you turn on "Remember my plan choices and settings", the analyzer saves your selected plans, plan edits and settings in your browser's local storage on that computer. It never saves your claims there. Turning the option off, or choosing "Clear the form", deletes what was saved.
Our website
Our website does not use cookies, advertising, analytics or tracking scripts, and it loads nothing from other companies' servers. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical information any website receives, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect against attacks. We do not use that information to identify you.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our reseller and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your payment details, billing address and email address under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, what you bought, the price and the country of purchase. We never receive your card number.
We use purchase information to deliver the analyzer and its updates, provide support and refunds, and keep the business and tax records the law requires.
If you email us, we keep the message and our reply so we can help you. Please do not send us claims, EOB statements or other health information. If you do, we will delete the attachment and ask you to describe the problem instead.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers named above, as needed to run the business, or when the law requires it.
Retention
We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually seven years. We keep support emails for up to two years.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, subject to records we must keep by law. Email support@openseasonanalyzer.com and we will respond within 45 days. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, including Oregon, have these rights by law.
Children
The analyzer is meant for adults choosing health coverage. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we will email customers first.
